    Supported Avid Codecs ?

    Mac Resolve 7.1 system.

    It seems to me that codec support for Avid systems is very limited.

    Currently the only native Avid Codec looks to be the DNxHD family – IF you buy the $500 option.

    There is one codec listed in the supported codec list – Uncompressed YUV MXF – that may be a native Avid codec, but it is not clear. But it is only an 8 bit codec!!

    This really is disappointing from our view. Especially after shelling out such a high proportional price for the DNxHD codec.

    We really need the high end Avid codecs: 1:1 10bit MXF and 1:1 10bit RGB MXF at the minimum. Not every one wants to be limited to compressed formats or DPX files.

    If any users out there have any insight or workflows in place they would like to share, I would love to hear them.
