Super slow rendering… Worst ever.
Hello please help…
I’ve been rendering a project since last Friday… I press Render and I get “writing video… estimated time about 30 hours” At its worst it was saying three days.I’ve moved the project, opened new projects and imported te files, everything I can think of to get it exported. Finally today it finished rendering but now the exporting is taking just as long…
It’s only 10 minutes long, 1 camera, occasional text, dv pal. on an imac with fcp6… Please help, kinda needs to be burned yesterday.

What are your sequence settings? And how were the clips you are using brought in?
Basically, if you import your sequence and clips have the same codec settings, you shouldn’t have to render at all if you’re just playing video.

They’re the same codecs, both dv pal. I’m now exporting with compressor using the “dvd fastest encode”. It’s processing a frame every few seconds.
