    Hey guys,

I’ve just gotten some super 16 film transferred to DVcam and captured it. I have a problem I can’t figure out. In the viewer window, the footage shows up letterboxed like it should be, but when I drag it into the sequence it is squeezed horizontally. The sequence has the same settings as the footage that I captured. I’ve tried making changes like clicking the anamorphic box, but it makes the frame too large. I shot some video (DVcam) on 16:9 mode, and it looks fine. The frame goes all the way outside of the 10% box to the edge of the frame. Am I doing something wrong, or could it be something in the film transfer that was done wrong?

    Thanks.

Sounds like the transfer is standard 4:3… and the letterbox was part of the transfer (pretty common). If so then, you should be using just the standard DV NTSC sequence preset.
