    Hello

I have a fight scene which didnt come up to par and I want to add the bourne identity or kingdom of heaven effect..you know rapid movement and blur and shakey camera because the fight scene isnt that good.

So far in Vegas 6 I have added video noise and lens flare…how do you speed up and slow down in vegas and add camera shake or the famous shakey cam..also any other suggestions would be appreciated.

    Thank you

Another approach might be to look at re-cutting the scene with a completely different, maybe much faster rhythm – very short cuts, maybe using jump cuts and repeated action to create a stylised feel … and use audio to generate atmosphere.

If the scene uses either fighter’s point of view, maybe that can motivate a switch to exaggerated, blurred, resized footage – scale up to 200%, and ues fast, small, jerky position moves to jerk it all about … hmm

[jack halsey] “how do you speed up and slow down in vegas”

The two main ways are to hold down the CTRL key and resize the clip (one constant speed change for the entire clip) or to use a Velocity Envelope (with which you can dynamically change speeds)

To do this, I like the “camera shake” and “earthquake” tools in the NewBlue set of add-on effects. See https://newbluefx.com/motion_effects.html for more details. Plus, if you do a search here, there’s a coupon code for a discount.
