Suggestions for paint roller matte/wipe footage?
Hey, guys. I’d like to paint a background color onto a title with a roller effect. I could probably fake something, but something to key from would be better. I’ve seen shots where people will paint white onto a piece of plexi with a black background…
I know these things are around, but I’m having trouble with the googles. I’m just finding stock footage of people painting a room.

I don’t know of a better term with which to Google, but you could fake something fairly easily with a linear wipe (or a mask animation) and the Roughen Edges effect.

I think I understand what you’re trying to do. Maybe you could use something like this to create it?

Digital juice has this in one of their compositors toolkit series. I believe series 3.
