  • Suddenly I can’t play past my out point in my source monitor

I’ve been working on a demo reel for a directing client, playing through their material in fast forward and clipping out bits I want to use for later using my in and out points (I drag them down into a sequence I created to set them aside). Suddenly however, I am no longer able to fast forward past my out point in the source monitor. It just loops between my in and out points and I can’t figure out how that happened or how to disable it. Now I have to constantly reset my out point every time I want to keep moving forward through the source material.

    Anybody have a solution?

Figured it out – somehow my loop setting had been enabled. Turned it off and all is fine now.

I’m not in front of PPro right now but it sounds like you accidentally turned on the play loop in-to-out feature. There should be a menu setting to toggle it on/off some place.
