Found a couple similar posts, but nothing helped. In my new Mac Pro – 4gb ram – Everything has run fine and fast in FCP (5.1) – but all of the sudden it’s having to render for every little thing I do – even simple cross dissolves and moving clips around – has to render them all and takes a long time – HDV footage – What could be my problem? How can I fix it back to where it was?

Johnny- Sounds like it might be a media/drive issue. Are you sure you have no media on your SYSTEM DRIVE?

Well – I moved all my media from my MAC HD to my 1 tb ext drive – and working off that now – but it’s still doing it…. has to render everytime I do anything…. I have MAc Pro 4gb ram – I don’t get it?

Sounds like you’re sequence settings don’t match the source material’s properties if you have to render everything you do… what is the source? and what are your sequence settings? They must match.
