    Hi

I’ve been asked to supply wmvs with subtitles as separate .smi files

Does anyone know if this is possible with FCP on mac, or whether it’s a PC thing?

    Thanks in advance

    Mike

Windows Media Player has extensive and cool subtitling and captioning capabilities. You want to this on a PC. You may need to purchase the subtitling application, they ain’t cheap, but MWV will accept and find the .smi file in the same folder as the WMV.
Hit Microsoft’s site, try to locate the professional tools for WM Encoder. It’s very difficult to to find.

This is my standard sigfile so do not take it personally: “For crying out loud, read the freakin’ manual.”
