Hi all – I’m slowly getting back into the swing of things …

Gary or anyone else who can help. I have exported over 400 Regions from Vegas as Subtitles and imported the .sub into DVD Architect, which is great – perfectly positioned and with the right durations ….

… but it seems that by default they come in as Arial 14 point, and I want to change these 400+ text events to a larger size, add a semi transparent grey background, and for certain sections of subtitles, which are on-screen interviews, I want to change the Text colour. I have done all these things successfully on individual sub-titles, but haven’t been able to copy success on one Subtitle to the many others.

I’ve watched Gary’s video and read the Manual many times, but I keep getting random results.
The problem seems to be related to whether I am highlighting and copy/pasting the Text Events in the Subtitle track of the timeline, or on the Preview Screen, and how to select and paste attributes accurately, from which selection to which.

I have to burn a DVD on Thursday Evening to show Friday. If necessary I shall do 400 separate operations, but I hope not.

A step by step would be most appreciated, and may well help others ….

    Thanks

    Peter,

Set up one title the way you want, then select all the titles you want to make the same way.
Ctrl/Click the one you want to copy from if it’s not selected. If it is selected, Ctrl/Click twice to make sure it’s the LAST one that was selected. Then right-click and choose Apply Formatting to Selected Events.

Gary – Thanks so much – for some reason I couldn’t unlock the right sequence of events -it’s so simple I feel silly for asking – but I’m glad I did!

    – just discovered that the Apply Formatting to Selected Events routine works for Font, Size, Italics etc, but to change Colour Set it’s simply Select all the Events you want to change, THEN change the Colour Set.
