Subtitles cause error upon rendering in DVDA
I have a 23 minute video (MainConcept1 NTSC) and accompanying wave file (PCM)
I have imported both into DVD Architect 2.0. I did the Prepare DVD process with no problems.
Now I add about 10-15 subtitles in a subtitle track. When I Prepare DVD, the render process goes all the way to 100% as if it is finished, then gives an error message, something to the effect that what I am trying to do is too complex for the DVD format!
Any ideas? I need to put far more subtitles into the system. (Have only done 2 of 23 minutes). Is there a setting I am missing?

Followup to my first message:
The exact working of the error message is as follows:“An error occured while writing a file.
The sub-picture or menu highlights are too complex and exceed the DVD specification.”
The original DVD I was preparing was in the single movie format. Clearly there were no sub-pictures or menu highlights. Through experimentation, I found that if I created a menu and then included my movie, I didn’t get the error messages any longer!
Go figure!

I used exactly the same subtitles but ran it with the movie as a menu item (not single movie dvd), and it works just fine?

As a followup, I have discovered the solution to the problem I originally posted.
Upgrade DVD Architect to at least 2.0a. (The current upgrade version is 2.0b).
Starting at 2.0a, DVDA checks subtitles prior to preparing and points out subtitles with problems.
I would have NEVER discovered the problem by trial and error. The offending subtitle was formatted the same as others and had 2 lines with about 10 words!
After upgrading, the offending subtitle was pointed out, I deleted it and created a new one with the same content and everything was just fine.
