    Hi,

I’m working on a 80 minutes HDV registration of an opera which has to be subiteld in two languages. Editing in FCP. Can anyone tell me a nice way to make subtiteling? I did it before in a short movie. Lots of work using the titling editor from FCP.

What i like to do is create a subtitle track which i can use in the HDV movie as wel in DVD SP for authoring SD-DVD. What workflow is recomendable?

Hello, Im dealing with the same isue right now and the best solution I have found so far is to use the title tool in FCP and then export the sequence as XML. Take the XML file into a program called “Title
Exchange Pro” (https://www.spherico.com/filmtools/) and export to STL format, which can be used in DVD Studio. There is good tutorial on the Spherico site, too.

I use Digital Heavens’ plugin all the time. It won’t automate the production, but you can cut & paste from another document like word. It looks good too.

So there is no solution without external software or plugins?
