We are trying to identify the best workflow for logging and moving files to Premiere Pro. We think that making subclips and adding metadata that way is more efficient and more reliable then adding text to markers. The issue is that when we try to drag catdv subclips to premiere it won’t let us. We also have tried the fcp XML export. It the file comes in out of the correct aspect ratio (does the same thing with seq xmls)

Any ideas or reasons as to why dragging subclips won’t work?

Also, is square box looking into creating an “in editor panel” available for premiere?

And I saw focal point in Vegas…. Release date coming soon? Would love to hop on that train early!!

Justin, I’m watching Premiere closely as well.

The aspect ratio thing should be an easy fix but I don’t know enough about Premiere’s API to know the likely hood of a “drag and drop” solution.
