    Sub folder UDF mode

    When i down load from SXS card in UDF mode I get 9 folders.One is called sub and seems to contain low res files of the originals.. are these proxy files..? I know proxy files can be recorded separately from the USB port.. are the contends of the sub folder the same thing..?

    Sorry for the delayed response. We were offline for a week due to the storm and I’m just now grinding through all my email..

    Yes, the SUB folder contains the MPEG4 proxies. You can configure XDCAM Browser to view Proxies instead of the high res if you are on a slower machine. You can also edit with them in Avid and Vegas and then up-convert to full res.
