1)What is the main difference between BM Design Studio and BM Decklink HD Extreme?
The main use is to edit in CS3- Vista64, material from XDCAM EX,HDCAM, DigitalBetacam (SD) and RED footage converted to QT, AVI or sequence.
2)Is there any problem in using the BM Studio with teh new Intel I7? Or is it better to use Intel QuadCore?

Thank you very much for any advice.

The Intel i7 is quad core as well (actually there are only quad core models) and there isn’t any compatibility issue at the processor level. The motherboard is another story since the chipset is new.
Unfortunately with desktop setups (mainboard/vga) its hit or miss, although using PCIe has mostly eliminated the problem there are still issues, mostly at the driver level.
However the possibility of having a proper working system is about 90% if you take heed in driver versions and mainboard/graphic card selection.
Or you can buy a Mac..

    Thanks Aristides.
Unfortunately, Mac is not a good option for me.
In my country there is much price difference between mac-pc and win-pc.
My hardware vendor accepts the risk of compatibility.
    Please excuse my English.
