streaming video server/audio podcasts
Hey guys, question here, a bit off topic, butwell, im a video guy and you guys always help me out.
I work for a university, and we have a very fast internet/network connection. we do post production on audio podcasts, video files, etc.
often the clients want these files hosted on the web. we want to try and put together our own webserver, for audio first, and perhaps some video sometime, to test out the spead.
how would we go about this, what software/etc do we need to get or learn. any ideas, anyone do this type of thing?
we have all sorts of apple computers at our disposal, heck, we have a g4 graveyard on storage. we just need something to host the files, then the files would be link to from the class websites, that’s someone else’s job.
