Strawberry leafs dynamics
Can somebody give good idea how to do strawberry with leaves on top, which are also dynamic. I tried with connector and soft body… strange artefacts happening.

Its good idea to make the hole strawberry one softbody.Im using Fixed connector. Here the scene file:

the connector will work if you change the connections from “Center of Mass” to Polygon Point (if you can figure out which point you want using the Structure Manager)or Point Selection with a point selection tag with only one point in it (for each object). Center of Mass uses the very center of the objects, not too bad for the plane initially but it’s shape changes so the center will change and always bad for the berry since the center is not where the leaves should attach

what have you got Elastic Limit set to in the Springs/Structural and Shape Conservation? I think you can also try increasing Damping as well but elastic limit worked for me in my test file

Structural – 1000
Damping – 30
Elastic limit – 1000
I notice if stiffness is set to -0 or 1 – deformations, if it’s 2 now deformation stops.
Now I’m trying to preserve volume – when berry fall it stretches pretty elastic. Any idea how to fix it? When increase the stiffness it affects tha berry.Any other advices on springs settings?

reduce the Elastic Limit (try 100 for starters) on both of them, Structural and Shape Conservation
