Strange text issue – text randomly changes or disappears
I have a comp that is doing some strange things and I can’t figure out why. I’m sure it’s something simple but I just can’t seem to find the answer.
The text changes size, font, or just plain disappears for what appears to be a random amount of time.
The only effect applied to that layer is a set matte effect to reveal the layer. When downsampling the text is fine and renders fine but when turning the quality back up, it starts acting strange.

Try clearing your disk cache:
Ae CC/CC2014:
Edit > Purge > All Memory & Disk CacheAe CS6:
Preferences > Media & Disk Cache > Empty Disk CacheAlso, if you are running Ae CS6, make sure you’ve installed all the CS6 updates. The persistent disk cache feature was new in CS6 and there were a good number of bug fixes in the CS6 point releases.

Hey Walter, thanks for the response. I am using AE CC 2015. Your solution for purging the memory and cache worked! I’ve never used that before and wasn’t aware of it. I had tried clearing the cache but that had no affect on the problems I was seeing. The purge worked though. Thanks!
