Hi. I’m pretty new to Cinema 4d so forgive me if this is a dumb question. I searched the forums and couldn’t find anything that sounds like the issue I’m having so I hope someone can help.

    First I’mworking on C4D 11.5

    Here’s my issue:

I’m making an elevator. It’s has doors that open and shut. Now if I point the came toward the inside of the elevator, it renders fine. It renders exactly what I see.

It does this also with the ceiling and floor.

BUT if I turn the camer toward the doors (open or not, doesn’t matter) I can see the image fine but when I render it, it comes out as nothing but a greyish/white glow.

There’s More. If I cut a hole in the back of the elevator and then render it, it renders fine.

I’m also having this issue with a room I’m building.

If anyone know what’sgoing oon, please help.

    Thank you

Sounds like something is blocking the camera in that direction. Do you have any geometry that you’ve made invisible in the editor (top red dot) but not the renderer (bottom dot)?

Also if your geometry is polygonal it has normals and you may need to make sure your normals are facing the appropriate direction. Some things work with mis-matched normals, some do not.
