strange render files artifacts
Hi everyone,
I’ve been using FCP for about 8 months without any hitch on this machine and sometime back after updating everything I started to have funny things when rendering my sequences. I get some weird artifacts like blue, green, red and black & white pixels flashing randomly. They are only in the render files as the originals are clean. Whatever the settings of my sequence & my footage I get those flashing pixels after rendering.

https://www.fotothing.com/photos/967/967adfaee00f9054f42eb08aa8b7bb92.jpgI’ve tried the usual trash prefs, reset PRam, reseat Ram, graphics card etc. I also tried rendering to different HDrives. I even made a fresh install (OS + FCS) on a spare Hard disk to eliminate possible issues or conflicts but the problem is still there.
Any help would be highly welcome!

I would have liked to bring you some solution to the problem but I am myself still struggling with that since 2 months now. Can you describe what exactly is the problem you are experiencing and how did it arise. did you do any updates? Was your system functioning well before?
can you also give some details about your system.
Someone told me on an apple forum that he had similar issues and that replacing his logic board solved the problem.
Changing the logic board may solve the problem but I would prefer to know the cause as it is quite a costly replacement part and only after 14 months of use.
I firmly believe that the problem was with the update as everything was fine before.

For those who want to know I’ve been testing the machine for quite some time now and I have narrowed the issue to mainly when using the DV sequence setting.
For example if I use some footage shot with EX1 or Betacam SX and use an Uncompressed 8 Bit sequence the renders are clean but if I put the same shots in a DV timeline then after rendering I get the black and white artifacts randomly on the screen.
