I was doing some organizing, and moved some files that were in a non finished show I am making. Not smart, I know, but I didn’t think it would be an issue to get them back in the show. so the next time I opened the show, Vegas asked me to find the files, I put in the new locations and the show was fine. Then I saved as usual when I was done with it for the day. The next time I pulled up the show, it asked me to find them again! So I did, then saved, etc. Now every time I open the show, it asked me. Over and over. Why is it asking me for files that I have already replaced? It even keeps asking me for one that I have since deleted from the show! I’m a bit confused. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Because they are still in the media pool. You should get into the habit of creating a new folder for each project. Then under that folder, create a \media folder, \music folder, \images folder, etc. and keep all of your assets neatly in order. This way when you want to back everything up or archive it when you are finished, you only have one folder to deal with.

As for the files you have deleted, press the lightning bolt button (i.e., Remove All Unused Media From Project) at the top left of the Project Media window and it will remove the references to any media that is not actively being used on the timeline. Then save your project.
