I’ve used Keylight quite successfully in the past and have just started a new green screen project. But when I add the Keylight effect to my main layer and use the eyedropper to select the green color of the background, the color which Keylight “sees” (and displays in the sample box next to the eyedropper tool) is purple. I cannot get the eyedropper to see green. This is a simple and well-lit piece of Betacam-SP footage exported from Media 100.

I tried re-starting and re-exporting and re-importing the footage. I imported only that one shot and a background image. There’s no doubt that I am working with the right active layer in AE. But the eyedropper still sees purple where the image shows green.

Of course I can manually enter the color values but I’m wondering if this problem might affect how well Keylight is going to work this time. Any ideas?
