Yesterday I was working on a mask, and I took the arrow tool and was trying to grab a corner handle to make it smaller, and after I clicked and dragged, (I missed) it made a little grey box. All the comp disappeared until I dragged the little box to the edges of the comp. Now the box stays lit up, and I can see its handles all the time. I cannot delete it. What the heck is it and how do I get rid of it?

I posted this on the Adobe forum, no answer yet.

    Have a wonderful day.

    Can you post a screencap?

Did you happen to click the “point of interest” button by accident?

I think Jason nailed it, I remember clicking that button the other day, didn’t know what it was for. Thanks everyone.

    Dave,

I feel your pain, what a drag, hope everything turns out okay. And no, I wasn’t using and never would use HDV footage to composite with, in any app. I use 8 bit or ProRes.

    Have a wonderful day.
