Strange effect renaming .vob to .mpg
I am trying to import some footage from a DVD into Sony Vegas. At first I tried conversion software (the quality wasn’t great) and then I tried a suggestion I found on the internet to rename the .vob to .mpg. The resulting .mpg imports into Sony Vegas but appears strangely shorter on the timeline – the original footage is actually about 20 minutes long – and then when I start to play it in the preview pane, flashes of later parts of the footage keep appearing during the early part. They’re very short flashes – almost subliminal.
Any suggestions for the best way to import a .vob file into Sony Vegas? Thanks in advance.
