Strange audio glitch on output – is this a bug?

Hi,

I have this audio trouble since few days, i’ve updated everything to CC2015.3 and it doen’st look like the thing has been fixed.
40 vidéos to export in few days and still can’t export anything clean !

Someone could help ?

hi Peter,

I work on vidéos edited in premiere. The edit goes to AE via dynamic link.
In Ae, I add animations, add music with a fade out at the end.
Then seend to encode in AME for h264/mp4 export.

The file once encoded ends with a weird fade out with a small loop of sound (last +/- 15 images) loud.

I’m on Win10, CC 2016.3, Nvidia GEFORCE GTX 970.
Everything was all right before the last CC update.

I’ve tried to export lossless, it works perfectly with a nice fade out at the end.
But when i try to encode it in h264/mp4 with AME or another application (the audio glith comes back again and even sometimes at the start of the file!!?? ).

Hope to be clear since i’m not english native.

Thanks for the details John. Sorry you hit this issue. We’re aware of it and working on getting a fix out for this specific issue relating to dynamic link.

A potential fix is extending the length of the AE comp a bit (~1-2s). That will often make the problem go away.

I have the exact same Problem … at the very end a short repetition of the sound. I can´t really change the timeline … as its the final length for the project.

Any news about an update that fix this issue ?
I’ve spent 3 horrible weeks (exporting uncompressed to USB HD then plug it to my laptop with an older version off CC and then encode to h264 than plug the HD in my computer again to sendit to my client : for 30 vidéos with 3 versions )…

Adobe has lost some… “reputation” from me… and there is no bug in the process of taking me dollars each month…

so, this update ?

It’s been a long time since this issue has been brought up. Just so I understand exactly what you’re experiencing can you please provide additional info.

– System specs:
– What exactly are you hearing? A screen recording would be awesome!
– Does this happen in the timeline or only in the rendered/exported file?
– Sequence settings
– Export settings

Sorry for all of the questions but this information greatly increases the chances of finding the root cause.

I’ve been experiencing audio glitches on Premiere Pro CC 2017 (2017.1.2) both on playback and export.

Before adding fades into my guide voiceover it happened on every audio clip. Adding fades/dissolves cured some but not all of the glitches.

There was a Multiband Compressor filter on the channel with the glitches, turning it off got rid of the glitches, changing to another Compressor filter and they’re back.

(As mentioned above) adding silent audio before the glitching tracks allowed me to use the compressor and export glitch-free audio

I’ve been editing on PP for over 7 years now (on Mac and PC) and while I appreciate the complexity of the software and the constant desire to add features and improve, for me PP Audio has really gone backwards in the last couple of years. If it continues I’ll be switching as reliable audio is something any edit software should provide (and I’m too busy to spend half a day searching forums for fixes).
