Strange Audio Dips
Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing some bad audio dialogue that was recorded via a lavaliere mic that had something wrong with it. The track has no background tone (drops to -50db or so during lapses in dialogue) but also peaks really high at times. I’m trying to compress it to level everything out but not having much luck (i’m pretty inexperienced with audio mixing and compression). I have link to the video i’m working on, and was hoping someone has worked on something similar and could steer me in the right direction.

Sounds like there is a Gate applied to the audio. If it is that way in the original footage, there is not much you can do. If it is not in the original then check all your plugins and filters.
