  • Strange adjustment layer bug

I’ve color corrected a music promo, using Adjustment layers to apply different effects to different shots. In AE (7.0) everything looks fine, but upon rendering, the last frame of each shot gets the effects of the following. This occurs regardless of compression or file type.

    Deadline is approaching.

    Any solutions or experience?

Seems strange that it would look alright in AE and not in the render. If it’s really not showing up in AE I think I’d have to recommend just moving the in point of the adjustment layer back a frame. You may already know this, but you can use [ to move a layer’s in-point to the current frame or alt-[ to trim the layer’s in-point to the current frame (that last one shortens the duration and doesn’t move the out point).

    Thanks for your help.

The problem was solved by nesting the composition into another composition, and upon rendering setting the framerate manually to 25fps, even though the media and compositions framerate was already 25fps.

Don’t know why, but it worked.
