    Hello,
what is the easiest way to draw lines, which all start from a center point (e.g. a city on a map) and than spead out to different locations (in the world)?

    Any hint or tutorial?

I started working with masks, and than animating each single mask, but I will end up with douzens.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Thank you,
    Giorgio

Draw the masks on a solid. Each mask is a two-point mask. Apply the Stroke effect to the layer, and animate the end point setting of the stroke.

Thank you for the hint, Steve.
    Worked excellent.
I used a seperate layer for each group of lines. Then, I made a pre-comp for the pan & zoom. (I tried for 3 hours with a null and expressions, but it never worked correct).
Only the quality of the lines using stroke is quite bad.
As this is AE, how to bring this to another level?

    Ciao
    Giorgio

You could draw the lines in Photoshop, then just reveal using masks. This way you have complete control over the look of the lines themselves.
