storage forum?
Shall there be a storage forum? (Not NAS, SAN, etc., but just a “storage forum”?
Say, I need a storage solution for a studio client and neither they nor me have an idea if it should be a DAS, a NAS, a SAN, or something in between. SAN is virtualized storage (in its original technical sense), NAS is DAS (or SAN) behind a file sharing server, SAN …
So I want to ask a question, “what type of storage solution do I need?”, but where do I ask it?
