Stopping Resolve creating drx files & deleting gaps on timeline?
I find that I do loads of ‘grabs’ in the colour tab and save them as jpg files, but resolve creates an additional .drx file, whatever that is (who cares) and I find they are a pain because I do grabs all the time, about 50 per day, and I have to go to the folder and delete all the unwanted .drx files that Resolve creates in addition to the .jpg files.
Is there any way I can stop Resolve creating them as it will save me lots of time one my workflow.
Also, while I’m here, another question. If, on the timeline, I delete about 10 random clips at the moment I have to click on one of the grey spaces and delete the space the the clips nudge up against each other again, but if there are 10 gaps I have to do this 10 times. It would be good if there was a way that I could simply delete all the gaps with just one or two mouse clicks. Again, this would save me time on my repetitive workflows that I have going on.

Grabbing still on the Color page also grabs the grade data so those grades can be applied to other clips. The still is the reference frame the grade comes from so Resolve will always create the .drx files as they are the main point of the stills. How hard is it to sort by file extension and delete them?
Ripple delete is the easy way to delete files and ripple close the gaps in one action. There are a few ways to work out when and how to ripple. It’s the default action on the Cut page but can also be done on the edit page if you have the right mode selected or you use the keyboard delete key as opposed to the backspace.

Thanks, Michael. I’ve now set up a keyboard shortcut to delete all gaps at the same time.
Yes, I do sort by file extension to delete them, but I often do 5 to 10 videos edits per day and each requires about 20 grabs and, thus, even doing this takes time when you add it all up. I know lots of people have requested a ‘jpeg only’ option on the grab page. Hopefully they will add the feature request soon.
