Still Pictures
I am working with still pictures in Vegas Pro 8. I am bring the pictures to the Timeline and working with them, Pan & Crop, etc. Then I am rendering them to a folder as avi files.
I then bring them up in DVD Architect Pro 4.5 I do this to check the quality of the picture. Such as Interlace flicker and other things.
I will later bring the avi file to the Timeline and complete the project. I am leaving the event long enough to cut and fool around with, a little bit.
My question is would it be to my advantage to render them to Main Concept MPEG-2 rather than avi. Would this be better when I move the final project to DVD Architect or should I let DVD render the avi file.

If you plan to bring them back into the timeline then AVI is the format you want. It will maintain the highest quality.
