  • Still no E-E during capturing?

I can’t get any E-E preview during analog capturing. No video, no audio, not in Deck control, not in Premiere. (5.2.0.1 on WindowsXP,PAL, component in/out, Decklink audio).

This is the biggest issue I have with Decklink. The audio part is specially basic. No levels, no VU meters, nothing. The “advanced audio window” is like a toy. You can capture an hour long clip without audio an will notice it only afterwards. You can overload audio inputs without any warning.

Otherwise, I really like the Decklink. 9 pin is fast and smooth, there is a lot of realtime and we get updates faster than anybody.

    Hi Peter,

Please review the support note Broadcast monitor goes black during capture. I suspect this will be the answer to your problem and will also let you know which DeckLink output you can use for monitoring.

    Yes, it works now, thanks.
I wish all these technical notes were included in the manual.

Also, some kind of audio level monitoring would be very usefull during capturing.

    regards,
    Peter
