still images in 2880×1620 resolution with different aspect ratios
Hello everyone,
I’m new to Creative and not sure if I should post this here. But here is my problem:
I work for an animation studio as an I.T. personnel and I’m not an editor and unfortunately we don’t have a “real” editor so for now if there are requirements from our clients I’m the one being asked about the editing technicalities.
Here is my problem:
We have a potential client whose delivery requirements are sequential images in 2880×1620 resolution in three different aspect ratios 1.78:1, 2.35:1 and 1.33:1.
The sequential images will be rendered using our Animation Software (Harmony) and we will use either Adobe AFX, FC Pro or Avid to export it to the final format the client requires.
We can definitely render the said resolution (2880×1620) but I don’t know exactly what the client meant by this:
“Rendered in 2880×1620 in 1.78:1, 2.35:1 and 1.33:1 anamorphic formats”
The way I understand this statement is that each scene will be shot in three different aspect ratios but it will have a resolution of 2880×1620. I know that 2880×1620 is 1.78:1, but how about the other two aspect ratios? Can this be done? How?
Regards,
Art
