ok i finally have a camcorder that does widescreen. so here is my questions. when i first launch sony vegas 8, i make it’s on ntsc widescreen so when i edit the preview window is at a widescreen format.

when i render it, i use mpeg2 and dvd ntsc so i can put it on a dvd. but when i see the render preview window, the video is then in a box with black bars like what you would see when you watch a dvd on a tube tv. so am i formatting it right??? will it automatically stretch out when i put it on a widescreen tv???

That’s your problem. Render you video with the DVD Architect NTSC Widescreen video stream template and then make an audio file using the same name with the Dolby Digital AC3 | Stereo DVD template and everything will be the correct aspect.

Yes it does. You rendered it wrong. The only way to fix it is to render it correctly.
