stereo clip got changed to mono
Sometimes FCP pisses me off.
I dragged a NTSC clip with stereo audio into an NTSC timeline and the Left and Right were seen as centered…so, FCP put the whole thing in mono…..now I get a call from the station saying they were in “dual-mono”Does anyone know why this happens: ….
or how to stop it? (that is: keep stereo things stereo)….I was trying to be soooo careful, but I missed this.

If is a clip coming from a camera, is not stereo.Set your sequence Audio as stereo (Sequence setting).
Open the audio mixer and set properly the Pan.

I guess I didn’t realize I should set the pan on the mixer after I set the seq as stereo.
