Does any one know what the status of the card adapter is so I can use the MacPro to transfer P2 cards to a hard drive? https://www.duel-systems.com/products/adapters.aspx

Heading out in a few weeks for a shoot overseas as a one man band and I need a effecient work flow to get the data off the cards without having to bring a PC with me as well. Would be great if someone had a dual card transfer device without using the camera. Would like to start the transfer of the 2 cards, insert 2 new cards as the transfer is being done so I could have the option to continue to shoot as the data is being passed from the first set of cards to a drive. I will have to edit on location as well and do NOT want the data transfer to be a baby sitting job, as I insert card # 2 as soon as card # 1 is completed.

Not sure if my needs will be better served with Sony Z1U and a deck to transfer footage to a hard drive.

Has any one shot in 24p NTSC under 50hz conditions in Pal land.

    Any ideas?

As a one man band the P2 store is awesome. Rent one or two and see how you get by.

“Would like to start the transfer of the 2 cards…”

Remember that the cards are hot-swappable. When I’ve loaded one up, I just pop it into my G4 while I’m filling the 2nd one (I realize you don’t have slot in your MacBook Pro – I mention this so you don’t feel the need to get 4 cards).

As far as shooting under 50khz lighting at 24 p, you very likely will get light flicker issues. I once shot with a 16mm film camera setup to 25fps (inadvertently) and the 60khz hmi lighting (US) flickered enough to be an issue.
