Static values to sequence of layers based on parent layer w/ sequence of keyf…
I’m trying to color a sequence of layers based on a parent layer with keyframes prepared and aligned precisely to each layer’s inpoint.
The keyframes are sourced from a MIDI export, and I’m converting the MIDI velocity values to color hues in an expression on a parent layer.
I’ve tried a few different expressions, but I’m only able to offset the sequence of keyframes, not grab one and hold it staticly, if that makes sense.
I’m hoping for a single expression that I can copy and paste to over 1000 layers.

Solved it.
“notes” is the comp and “Null 1” is the parent layer. The code below goes into the Hue of the Change Color effect of every music note layer.
comp(“notes”).layer(“Null 1”).effect(“Change Color”)(“Hue Transform”).valueAtTime(inPoint);
