Starting a New Project Without Losing An Old One
Hi There,
I am using FCP X and on a brand new iMac Desktop running OS X version 10.10.2
I have been using a version of FCP from 2007 for years and am struggling with my recent transition to X.
I just completed my first project and am looking to start a new one, but I think I may have accidentally lost all the work I just did.
I created what I now know is a ‘Library’ called March 2015. Inside that Library I created an ‘Event’. Then I started importing media into that event and began assembling my clips in the timeline.
I was finished and ready to move on to my next project, but I wasn’t sure of how to do that without losing my work. Then I closed the library March 2015 and opened it back up to see an empty timeline and nothing but media in the event I was just working on.
I know my error was that I didn’t assemble my media in a ‘project’ I created within the event. My question is: is the work I did in the timeline of that event gone forever now that I closed the library once? The computer itself had been shut off and on several times while working on this project.
Any insight would be great. Thanks!
Regards,
E.
