I have just started a new project that I am shooting on the Canon C100. I accidentally set the frame rate at 24PF (24p wrapped in a 60i wrapper and edited at 29.97). Usually I shoot in 24p for the web, but this project is going on the web and also being broadcast at an event on an AJA Ki-Pro which requires it be played out at 29.97 anyway.

My question is- should I just shoot everything else at 24PF or switch back to 24P for the rest of the project. If I stay at PF, is there anything I should know about editing 24 in a 29.97 timeline?
If I switch to 24P, what is the best way to get the footage I already shot to match up? I’ve tried compressor and Cinema Tools but can’t seem to get the settings right.

    Thanks so much!

Be consistent…stick with 24p over 29.97. You will have to deinterlace or remove the pulldown when you go to the web, however. As the web doesn’t do interlacing, and the way that 24p is made to 29.97 is by blending the frames in the fields of video.
