I’m curious to know if it is possible to use this adapter to read P2 Cards (64GB) on my MacBook Pro, 2.66 Intel Core 2 Duo, 10.5.6. Has anyone tried this and had success?

According to one review I read online before buying the card, the reviewer had success reading P2 cards using the StarTech card on a Windows machine.

My system seems to be recognizing the cardbus adapter and the P2 card. I also have no problem reading P2 cards using the Panasonic AJ-PCD35 reader.

    Thanks,

    Gabe

Have you transferred and used any media using this option?
It seems to have no supporting drivers, which if the P2 cards are natively recognised, might be a good thing.

    Hi Gabe,

You bought this Adapter and it shows in your sys profiler as loaded, so it should work.
    10f7 is Panasonic’s ID,
insert a P2 card into the adapter and insert it into your lappy then re boot , then go to sys profiler “Contents / PC Cards” and see if the P2 card is shown there, if it is, it’s a goer, if not, use it on a windows box, or as a paper weight, then go back to using your PCD35.

    Cheers
