Start on Edit Transitions
In final cut pro there was a default dissolve transition that would allow the user to start, center, or end on the cut. in premiere however it seems that although the cross dissolve is still roughly the same and the user can manually adjust where the transition sits, it automatically defaults back to a center on edit if copied and pasted or set as its own preset. My question being, is there a way to set up a start on edit transition preset that does not require the user to manually adjust every individual transition?

You cannot make presets from transitions.
There was one version of CC that did allow to make preset for cross dissolve, but that feature got dropped very fast as it did not work as well as expected.
Default is Centre at Cut.
The way the clips are trimmed also determines the position of the cross dissolve.
