    Hello friends

I just got a QT file that is almost 8gb in file size HD 1920×1080 @ 23.98 and it was not playing down in FCP for some reason so i noticed that the alpha tab had defaulted to straight so i switched it to none/ignore.

My question/s basically are what if anything do i have to be aware of or concerned about – I believe this was rendered out of AE by an animator but before i deliver this i want to be sure to cover my ass.

I will be getting some animated supers and I am doing the sfx / music mix myself in fcp…not sure yet how this is being delivered but if for example i need to lay off to Digi what would be the best way for me to convert this 1920×1080 23.98 sequence for NTSC digi layoff – should i have an AE guy convert or re-render or in that I have a blackmagic card can i be do a ltrbx downconvert whilst laying off or is that option out the window in that its not 29.97??

    thanks in advance

    Lisa : )

The file is probably using the Animation codec. There are almost no FCP configurations that are capable of playing back and processing Animation files in realtime.
