stalled update to 10.5.8 and the my computer wont boot all the way
Hello
I’ve installed the latest version of FCP & AJA drivers. Then immediately upgraded to 10.5.8. On the restart my machine boot up; however its still giving me the spinning icon. This has gone on for 30min. Would it be safe to shut down and boot up?
Any help would be appreciated.

Most likely the OS update had an error when downloading so therefore it caused problems when installing.
If you have another drive that you can boot from you could boot from that and manually download the 10.5.8 combo up date and then install it onto the problematic system drive.
There are no “technical solutions” to your “artistic problems”.
Don’t let technology get in the way of your creativity!
