    Hi,

I am recording on a Apple Mac Book Pro from the AJA IO HD on to an eSata drive from Firmtek.
The data transfer rate is 130. My problem is this. While recording in either Pro Res 422 HQ or Pro Res 422 I do not get any dropped frames. BUT when playing back in the timeline I get an error message of dropped frames due to data rate.

NOW, if I open either the HQ or normal ProRes files directly from the browser both files playback correctly. It is only when I drop the file in the timeline that I get the dropped frame message. I know my settings are correct, does any one else have this problem?

    Thanks,

    David Perry

Do you try to play back Prores or Prores(HQ) timeline with not matching ioHD view settings?

Because you can’t 🙂 The selected ioHD output setting (av device setting) has to match either non HQ or HQ depending on your timeline.

PS. there is a Aja IO form here too.

Carsten’s got it. Be sure to select the HD easy setup that matches your footage.
