December 2, 2010 at 9:37 pmIt works great, although can sometimes soften the output due to excessive cropping. It turned a shaky hand held shot in which I was spiralling around my subject into a useable shot for me, but I had to play with the presets to get the right effect I was looking for. It has my thumbs up.

December 2, 2010 at 11:26 pmI used it on a bit of Glidecam-shot footage that just need a little correction, and it worked pretty nicely. You do get excessive cropping if you ask for too much correction — I’m not sure how smart the “analysis” stuff is. Doesn’t seem to vary dramatically by content. Then again, it’s pretty new.
At some point, I’ll compare to the BCC7 stabilizer.

December 3, 2010 at 2:32 amProbably the only downside is not being able to tell if and what stabilisation effect has been applied to a clip and undoing it, say, 2 days later because you wanted to try a different preset. I was expecting to see hundreds of key frames in the pan and crop window after applying the effect, but nothing gives any indication. It probably should be added to the plug-in library so it can be undone easily or tweaked.
I guess I could just reimport the media and re-do that section as a workaround in the meantime.
