    Hey guys,

Just wondering if anyone has a solution to this… I have some material that was shot on a Canon 7D. On a take where we only got the one chance at it the cameraman knocked the camera. I’ve taken it into AE to take out the wobble, however you still notice the flexing around the edge of the screen due to the image distortion that happens as well (wide angle lens). Any way around this? I would have thought that incorporating corner pinning with motion stabilization would do it, but can’t figure out how.

    Cheers,

    Philip

I believe the common practice is to take the distortion out first, then stabilize, then add the distortion back. AE has a lens distortion correction effect – I wouldn’t think cornerpinning would work as well. Then again, fish eye distortion may be too much to correct anyway. Let us know how you do.
