July 28, 2011 at 1:08 pmHi Matt,
We’ve seen a few issues with the Crucial M4 SSDs and the Hyperdeck Shuttle. The key thing is not so much the speed of the disk, but the way in which the disk writes data.
For more information on these issues, as well as our current list of certified SSDs please see the following support article:

Any idea on when we might see a 512gb SSD added to the certified list?
Cheers

I’m afraid I don’t. But we’ll continue to add SSDs when they have been tested fully for compatibility.

September 19, 2011 at 12:26 pmThe Crucial 512GB M4 SSD is listed. Does that mean that the 128GB Crucial M4 SSD will also work ? Or is the compatibility only with the single model.

November 2, 2011 at 5:20 pmI just looked at the approved drive page on the BM website. The 512 M4 seems to have been removed. I would swear it was listed at one time!

This article mentions the Crucial M4(Firware 009) being fine for use with the Hyperdeck Shuttle, im assuming therefore that it will also be ok the Hyperdeck Studio?
Are the issues with the crucial M4 SSD range apparent if only recording in SD or are they only issues when recording in HD
