srt closed cation editor / generator
Hi there…I have a Quicktime video plus a transcript of the narration. Is there a reliable/ accurate programme that I can use on my mac to generate and edit srt closed captions for this video? My system is a bit old 10.11.5 (El Capitan). Thanks in advance – Pete – New Zealand

The issue is lack of timecode. If there’s no timecode assigned in the transcript, then no, you can’t do this.
Now, if you got your transcript from a service, they should be able to supply you with an SRT file.
