If I shoot in Squeeze, how does that affect it being broadcast? Will I have to deliver a 4:3 master and is that an issue with Squeeze? What about the film being projected (it’s not going to film unless I am really lucky – ultimately, this will live on DVD) say at festivals? Thanks all.

It depends on the broadcaster and whether they broadcast in 16:9 or 4:3. Letterboxing is very simple on most NLE’s and when you make an anamorphic 16:9 DVD it also is auto-letterboxed by the DVD player at runtime if needed.

It’s kind of a PBS kind of thing (again, if I am lucky!) and they broadcast widescreen I think – or at least most of the docs I’ve seen there lately are WS.

Thanks. By the way, love the DVD.
