Squashed output to 16:9 broadcast monitor from AJA Kona 3/CS6
I’m testing Premiere CS6 as a possible replacement for FCP for the company I work at, and am struggling a bit with my monitoring of both video and audio.
The major problem is the video, for whatever reason it’s displaying squashed on my broadcast monitor. I’m using a Kona 3, most recent drivers and Adobe plugins and am going to a 16:9 Sony CRT broadcast monitor, from an SD anamorphic sequence. It looks as if the footage is being squashed as if Premiere doesn’t recognise that the broadcast monitor is 16:9. In After Effects there is a button to fix this, but I can’t find an equivalent in Premiere. Any suggestions? It’s not really useable as is!
The second problem is – and I suspect this is something I’m overlooking in the setup – but I only get playback of my first 4 audio channels! Not crucial this one, but annoying…
Any suggestions much appreciated, many thanks!
