Springy text tracking
There must be an easy way to do this, but I cannot figure it out. I’m using Text Animation->Position to slide in stacked words
(for example)
ONE
TWO
THREE
FOUR
FIVEfrom off-screen (so I’m using a total of two offset keyframes, 0% & 100%) over the course of a second, and I’d like each word to track out slightly as it reaches it’s final position, then spring back into place, as if the text was sort of rubbery in nature. I cannot figure out how to get the tracking to animate like this for each word as they individually slide into place. If they were individual layers, I could keyframe each word’s tracking separately, but in this instance, I’d like to keep using the text animation control, so there’s only one text layer. Thanks in advance!

This one’s a little tricky. I’ll probably get you a little more than half way there but you’ll need to tweak it to suit your exact needs.
1) Type the text rows into a single text layer
2) Change Anchor Point Grouping to Word
3) CHange Shape to Ramp Up
4) Set keyframes for Offset from -100 to 100. Leave Start at 0 and End at 100
5) Add the Position Animator Property and change its values to something like (-600,0) so that it starts off screen and ends where you have placed the text layer
6) In the Timeline, select the text, “Animator 1” and CTRL+D to duplicate the Animator Group.
7) For the lower copy, select both of the Offset keyframes and drag them such that they start and end later. Don’t change their relative distance in the timeline. We’ll leave that for final edjustments
8) Add the Line Anchor and Tracking Animator Properties to the lower ANimator Group
9) Set Line Anchor to 100 (to acnhor the tracking to the right side of the text)
10) Set Tracking Amount to 100 (again, you can adjust this value later)
11) For the lower Animator Group, change the Position Animator Property from (-600,0) to (100,0). This will give the text an overshoot effect as it reaches its final destination.
12) For a more springy effect, change the top Animator Group’s Ease High and Ease Low settings to 100 and 50 respectively. Again, you can adjust these later.
13) DO the same for the lower Animator GroupFrom here it is a matter of fine-tuning and your best friends here are the Ease High/Low settings for both the upper and lower Animator Groups. MOving the last keyframe for the lower Animator Group is also a good parameter to tweak.
